The World Heath Organization released situation report 41 over the weekend. The coronavirus disease continues to spread, now effecting the Western Pacific, Europe, Southeast Asia, Eastern Mediterranean, Africa, and North America Regions.

Concerns continue to grow as The World Health Organization released Situation Report – 41 over the weekend. The organization reports progression of the disease – COVID-19 – and its presence in several regions across the glove to include North America. WHO is reporting over 3000 new cases in this report and classifies global risk as “Very High”. WHO is working with clinicians to develop treatment protocols and improve patient management. The most commonly reported symptoms of the coronavirus include fever, dry cough, and shortness of breath, and most patients (80%) experienced mild illness. Early recognition of symptoms is key in decreasing the rate of transmission. Once infected, protective measurements for the lungs is critical, and oxygen therapy is recommended.
